There's a level of excitement about the Cleveland Browns around the NFL that there hasn't been in a very long time. After years of ineptitude, things are finally looking up for the Browns. They received a much-needed jolt late last season as Baker Mayfield came into his own, and the buzz has continued to build this offseason.

Mayfield looked electric at times as a rookie, and his fiery personality is media gold. When you combine that with the splashes the Browns have made this offseason, like trading for Odell Beckham Jr., it's going to be a media frenzy that everyone wants a part of.

The Browns are going to be on national TV a lot next season. Likely more than they have been the past few years combined. Apparently FOX wants in on the action, and is looking to book a Browns vs. Steelers or Browns vs. Ravens game in Cleveland for one of their national Thursday Night Football broadcasts, Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan hears.

The news isn't that shocking, as there are a ton of storylines to work with in the AFC North. A Baltimore/Cleveland matchup offers the prospect of a Lamar Jackson/Mayfield head to head battle. 2019 could also be the first time in a long time that the Browns have the upper-hand in their bitter rivalry with the Steelers.

There's a lot of hype surrounding the Browns. Expectations will be high in 2019, and the lights will be very bright in Cleveland. They'll be playing in primetime a lot, and Browns fans should clearly start marking their calendars for national standalone broadcasts.
