The Cleveland Browns are coming off of a devastating loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 6. As a result, head coach Freddie Kitchens is now forced to acknowledge some of the factors that have contributed to their abysmal start to the 2019 NFL season.

It is no secret that this Browns roster features a surplus of individual personalities. Kitchens addressed the prospect of the team's self-centered causing them to lose games, via Marla Ridenour of the Akron Beacon Journal.

“We're going to find out.” Doesn't mind players having individual goals.

Cleveland generated plenty of hype with their influx of star power in recent years and it was all supposed to come to fruition in the 2019 campaign. Unfortunately, selfishness can sometimes be a byproduct of having such a deep crop of Pro Bowl-caliber talent. This team seems to have it in spades after falling vastly short of the high expectations they set in the offseason.

There is no question that Kitchens has largely been the scapegoat for the Browns' lackluster start to the year. Although he has caught plenty of flak for his play-calling on offense, they have still largely struggled to execute. The fact that Mayfield has thrown 11 interceptions through the first six games certainly does not help his cause.

Regardless, Kitchens embraced all of the hype that came with leading a potential resurgence in Cleveland and has failed to get his team to follow through. Even if this roster contains plenty of individuality, the onus is ultimately on him to find a way to make it work.
