The Cleveland Browns made headlines with their decision to sign running back Kareem Hunt this offseason. It appears the time has finally come for him to make his return.

Hunt is now eligible to play after serving an eight-game suspension to start the 2019 NFL season. Head coach Freddie Kitchens feels he could potentially make an impact as soon as this week, via Andrew Gribble of the team's official website:

“I think Kareem's ready to play.”

Kitchens' comments indicate that he does not plan on wasting any time trying to ease Hunt back into action. After all, Cleveland is in desperate need of a spark at this point in the season if they are hoping for a potential resurgence.

Hunt spent his first two seasons establishing himself as a workhorse for the Kansas City chiefs. He led the league in rushing his rookie year and was named to the Pro Bowl. However, his stint in Kansas City came to an end after a video tape released that showed him kicking a woman.

During that time, running back Nick Chubb emerged as one of the more promising, young offensive players. Chubb has proven more than capable of handling the workload as an every-down back thanks to his versatile skill set. He remains as one of the few bright spots of this offense so it remains to be seen how Hunt will be utilized.

Regardless, it is safe to assume that Kitchens will be pulling all the tricks out of his sleeve to put an end to this four0game losing streak against the Buffalo Bills in Week 10.
