Greg Robinson hasn't exactly lived up to expectations since being selected with the No. 2 overall pick of the 2014 NFL Draft. Entering his second season with the Cleveland Browns, though, the journeyman left tackle seems poised for his best season yet – and the competition he faces in practice is one of the biggest reasons why.

As Robinson tells it, going up against Browns star pass-rusher Myles Garrett on a daily basis is the best preparation he could possibly ask for leading up to the regular season.

“Honestly, I could not ask for a better situation (facing Garrett). I feel like it is only going to prepare me for real game, live situations,” he said, per Jake Burns of Cleveland.com. “I do not feel like I will get that work anywhere else.”

The St. Louis Rams drafted Robinson five years ago with the hope he'd become a franchise left tackle.

After two underwhelming seasons starting at left tackle, Robinson was replaced in free agency by stalwart left tackle Andrew Whitworth. The Rams subsequently moved him inside to guard, then traded him to the Detroit Lions for a sixth-round pick. Robinson was waived by the Lions midway through the 2017 season as the result of an injury, clearing the way for Cleveland to sign him the following summer. He started the last seven games of the 2018 season at left tackle, stabilizing the Browns' leaky offensive line.

Garrett, meanwhile, racked up seven sacks in 11 games as a rookie and finished the 2018 season with 13.5 sacks, seventh-most in the NFL.
