Through his first four years in the NFL, Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl wide receiver Jarvis Landry has established himself as one of the premier players at his position.

However, Landry has taken that one step further voicing in a recent interview with ESPN that he believes that he is the best wideout in the game.

“The people that play the game (such as) Steve Smith, Hines Ward, (and) Anquan Boldin. These are the guys that I feel played the right way. Complete. That's why I feel like I am the best receiver in the NFL today because I am complete in that way…I respect game. I believe if you turn on the tape I'm not taking no plays off. I am going to block who I need to block and I'm getting to my assignment and I am making plays in the pass game.”

This quite a lofty title that is tossed around with the likes of Antonio Brown, Julio Jones, Odell Beckham Jr., and Larry Fitzgerald all being mentioned in that conversation. Landry isn't an average wide receiver by any means, but those other peers are often times held in a higher regard given what they have shown throughout their respective careers.

That said, 25-year-old has more than held his own on the field as he's coming off a season where he notched a career-best and league-high 112 receptions for 987 receiving yards and nine touchdowns in 2017. It also saw him become the fastest player to reach 400 career receptions through his first four seasons. He has registered at least 84 catches in each campaign as well as topping 1,000 receiving yards and 110 receptions twice over that span. He has also earned the reputation for being an all-around wide receiver with his ability to be an impact player as a blocker, which is an asset that is hugely beneficial.

Ultimately, Landry will have to back up his high confidence in his ability on the field this upcoming season in his first campaign with the Browns.
