The Cleveland Browns' start to 2019 didn't exactly go as anticipated. In Cleveland, the Browns lost 43-13 to the Tennessee Titans, who picked off Baker Mayfield three times in the fourth quarter.

A video made by the Browns captured a moment in which Titans cornerback Malcolm Butler — who had a pick-six in the game — told Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry that his team doesn't have any heart. In response, Landry claimed Malcolm Butler knew him better than that. Butler agreed, saying that his team, not the receiver himself, lacks heart.

Jarvis Landry, in a video from the Browns website, depicted by Pro Football Talk, shared his opinions on the matter, defending his team from Butler's comments:

“I know the guys that are in the building. I know the guys that I go to work with every day and how hard we work. . . . It is definitely [a dig] for somebody to say that. It definitely kind of like took me by surprise for a second. At the same time, opponents are willing to say anything. You just kind of have to take it for what it is. In that matter, I know the guys here. I know that everybody is going to play until four quarters, 0:00 on the clock and the winner is decided. That was kind of my answer to it.”

Landry's Browns faltered in their first action since their revamping in the 2019 offseason. They can prove they have heart next week on Monday Night Football, when they face the New York Jets, minus Sam Darnold (mono).
