The Cleveland Browns do not have much time to recover from a disappointing start to the 2020 NFL season as they prepare for their Week 2 showdown against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night. Unfortunately, the truncated week could have a major impact on the status of wide receiver Jarvis Landry.

Landry missed practice due to a hip injury he has been nursing since training camp. He and a number of key offensive linemen have been listed as questionable for the AFC North matchup versus Cincinnati (per Josh Alper in Pro Football Talk):

Wide receiver Jarvis Landry (hip), left tackle Jedrick Wills (shin), center JC Tretter (knee) and right tackle Jack Conklin (ankle/finger) are all listed as questionable ahead of the home opener.

It is safe to say that the latest injury report raises some concern for the offense heading into Week 2. Even if all of the aforementioned players are able to take part, it appears they will be doing so at less than full health. After all, they already had their work cut out trying to keep up with the Baltimore Ravens in the season opener.

Fortunately, Landry has already indicated that he intends to play through the hip issue that he made efforts to take care of in the offseason. His activity the rest of the week should help determine whether or not the Browns are simply taking a cautious approach with his recovery on a weekly basis.

Although Landry enjoyed modest production by hauling in five catches on six targets for 61 yards, the fact that four of them resulted in first downs shows the efficiency and role he plays as a safety net in the passing game.
