Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry has arguably been the best offensive playmaker for his team all season long, and he has done it all despite a fractured vertebrae.

Landry told reporters that the injury was discovered during OTAs, but also that he elected to play through the injury because he has not missed a game dating back to Week 1 of his rookie season in 2014 (via Paul Kasabian of Bleacher Report):

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry has caught 81 passes for 1,092 yards and five touchdowns this season despite playing with a fractured vertebrae.

Landry revealed the news to reporters on Thursday, per Marla Ridenour of the Akron Beacon Journal, noting that the injury was discovered during the offseason at the Browns' offseason team activities.

“Just talking to the doctors and the early scans from OTAs and things like that, I began with a fractured sacrum and then from there everything else just kinda started going bad,” Landry said.

The sixth-year wideout made the Pro Bowl for the fifth consecutive season this year. Landry has hauled in 81 receptions for 1,092 yards and five receiving touchdowns through Week 15, and after being a limited participant during Thursday's practice looks like a prime candidate to surpass 1,100 yards.

Things have not exactly gone as planned for the Browns in 2019. They were expected to be a playoff contender during the preseason but instead have endured numerous issues on the offensive line while quarterback Baker Mayfield has left a lot to be desired. Not to mention, the trade rumors surrounding Odell Beckham Jr. have served as a major distraction in recent weeks

Nevertheless, Browns fans can celebrate that they have an absolute gamer in Landry, who continues to ball out regardless of how banged up he feels.
