Cleveland Browns running back Duke Johnson may want a trade, but that does not mean his teammates want him off the roster.

Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry says that he and the rest of his teammates are certainly making Johnson feel wanted, according to Josina Anderson of ESPN. He also added that he hopes Johnson “understands and feels that guys are here for him,” per Allan Bell of 247 Sports.

Johnson's trade demand is nothing new, as he made his desire to be dealt clear earlier in the offseason after Cleveland signed fellow running back Kareem Hunt.

Even though Hunt is going to miss the first eight games of the 2019 campaign due to a suspension, Johnson is clearly not happy with the fact that he will be relegated to third on the depth chart behind Nick Chubb and Hunt for the second half of the season.

Still, Cleveland has said that it wants Johnson to be a part of the team this year, so it does not have to meet his trade request.

It's not like Johnson is a similar type of back to Chubb or Hunt, either, as Johnson is primarily used as a pass-catcher out of the backfield, much like the New England Patriots utilize James White.

This past season, Johnson rushed for just 201 yards but hauled in 47 receptions for 629 yards and three touchdowns.

He has never had a season where he totaled more rushing yards than receiving yards since entering the NFL back in 2015.
