Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry drew the ire of the Buffalo Bills after last week’s preseason game.

Bills linebacker Lorenzo Alexander blasted Landry for his crackback block on cornerback Taron Johnson and called it a dirty play. Alexander also brought up Landry’s block on former teammate Aaron Williams that led to head and neck injuries which would eventually prematurely end his career.

Landry was penalized for that particular hit on Williams. However, he won’t be for the one against Johnson, per Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Browns WR Jarvis Landry was not fined for the crackback block that had the Bills upset last week. Contact with his shoulder, below the neck and above the knees – that’s a legal play.

That decision obviously won’t go over too well with Alexander and the rest of the Bills, who wanted to see Landry get penalized in some way for his hit on their teammate. Unfortunately for them, none seems to be coming.

As for Landry, he may have escaped a fine this time, but he had better be careful. He’s gradually gaining a bit of a reputation around the league for those types of hits, and the next time he delivers one of them, he may not be so lucky.
