Cleveland Browns star Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah and his family are grieving on Thursday after his brother, Joshua Owusu-Koramoah, was found dead in a potential homicide on Tuesday in Hampton, Virginia. Early that morning, local police received a call about a deceased man. They ultimately found him in a burnt-down house.

It's still unknown what exactly happened, but what a tragedy for the Browns rookie. A former high school football teammate of Owusu- Koramoah's brother, spoke to the Virginia Pilot and revealed he was supposed to meet Joshua that morning and once he didn't show, it immediately raised concerns:

“It was automatically heartbreaking when he wasn’t answering phone calls, because he was the most punctual, respectful, humble and reliable person I know,” Drew Barker said.

Barker went to his townhouse and that's when the bad news surfaced.

“It was touch-and-go for a while because they weren’t sure if it was him [in the townhouse] right off the bat,” Barker said. “We tried to hold out hope as long as we could. When we found out it was him, it was demoralizing trying to figure out how this happened.”

The Browns linebacker's brother actually played college football at the College of William & Mary and ultimately got his major in chemistry. He was teaching high school science before this awful tragedy.

RIP.
