The Cleveland Browns look to be finally headed in the right direction after grabbing their second win of the season after easing by the Baltimore Ravens 12-9 in overtime last Sunday.

This push forward has been largely fueled with the re-energized team led by rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield that has brought back a renewed buzz and excitement around the organization. Former All-Pro offensive lineman Joe Thomas has voiced much belief in Mayfield by stating he thinks that he is their long-term answer for the next 15 years.

“What I think is that the Browns have found their quarterback for the next 15 years that fans can show up and get excited no matter who the opponent is we have a chance to win this because we got a guy in that position that gives us that chance.”

Since taking over as the starting quaterback, the Browns have looked like a markedly improved team offensively with Mayfield  leading the charge. He has had full command of the offense that has seen throw the ball with much confidence down the field. Meanwhile, Cleveland has become a more formidable team with him in the pocket. Although he has thrown his fair share of interceptions through his first three starts, he has been able to move the ball down the field effectively.

Mayfield put on that display against the Ravens that saw him put his team in the position to win throwing for a career-high 342 yards while setting a game-winning field in overtime. The Browns look to be in a better position than they have been in quite some time with a capable quarterback and running along with a formidable defense on the other side of the ball.

All of this has brought forth a sense of optimism that hasn't been there in quite some time in Cleveland with Mayfield holding the keys to success for the franchise.
