Browns WR Josh Gordon practices for the first time since reinstatement

Josh Gordon, Browns

Since being reinstated by the NFL a couple of weeks ago, former Pro Bowl wide receiver Josh Gordon has been on the fast track to rejoin the Cleveland Browns back on the practice field.

Gordon finally went through his first official practice back with the Browns on Wednesday morning.

This marked his first regular-season practice with the Browns that dates back to Dec. 26, 2014. Gordon had been serving an indefinite suspension by the league for violating its substance abuse policy multiple times.

The 26-year-old is eligible to be activated next Monday by Cleveland, but the team is not required to activate him from the commissioner’s exempt list until Dec. 4 and he could be released at any moment. He could also play in the Browns’ Week 13 bout against the Los Angeles Chargers on Dec. 3.

It appears that he is on track to make his return in Week 13 given the continued praise that has come his way from head coach Hue Jackson over the last several days. In his brief NFL Career, Gordon has shown to be a unique talent wide at receiver, earning both a Pro Bowl selection and First-Team All-Pro nod in the 2013 season while leading the league with 1,646 receiving yards.
