The Cleveland Browns had a disappointing season in the 2019 NFL campaign as they failed many people’s expectations. In response to their disastrous season, they fired their head coach Freddie Kitchens and parted ways with their general manager John Dorsey. Then they hired former Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Kevin Stefanski as their new head coach.

In a conference call on Thursday, Stefanski opened up about how to get the best out quarterback Baker Mayfield.

“I believe in Baker Mayfield. He’s our starting quarterback. He’s a young player that we’ve all seen glimpses of this kid being a really good player. Organizationally we believe in Baker Mayfield. It’s our job to surround him with people that can make him the best,” Stefanski said, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.
Mayfield had a phenomenal rookie year setting multiple NFL records and stacking up wins for his team. However, he regressed in his second year in the league recording 3,827 passing yards, 21 interceptions, only 21 touchdowns. Nevertheless, the Browns did a tremendous job surrounding Mayfield with more talent in free agency.
They added veteran tight end Austin Hooper and Pro Bowler right tackle Jack Conklin to their roster. In addition, the Browns signed an experienced starter in Case Keenum as a free agent. Mayfield will also have one of the NFL's better running back duos Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt in the backfield.
Nevertheless, the Browns will certainly need Mayfield to perform well this upcoming season. They’ll be seeking to avenge their disappointing season they had last year.
