Hall of Fame running back LaDainian Tomlinson has made his pick for the 2020 rushing champion. Tomlinson said Cleveland Browns' third-year running back Nick Chubb will lead the league in rushing, just one year after Chubb finished second for the title behind Derrick Henry.

Chubb has been as dynamic as any back in the league since his rookie campaign The former Georgia standout took over as the Browns' starter during Week 7 of the 2018 season, and he has not looked back since. Chubb rushed for close to 1,000 yards on 5.2 yards per carry as a rookie before averaging 5.0 yards per carry and tallying nearly 1,800 yards from scrimmage last year.

The Browns figure to feed Chubb the rock early and often. Head coach Kevin Stefanski takes over after a year as the offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings, where he established Dalvin Cook as the focal point of the offense.

Not to mention, the Browns beefed up the offensive line in the offseason. Cleveland signed former All-Pro right tackle Jack Conklin in free agency and used its first-round draft pick to select former Alabama offensive tackle, Jedrick Wills.

Granted, the Browns will also want Baker Mayfield to use his full arsenal of pass-catchers as they hope for a bounce-back season from the former No. 1 overall pick. But Chubb might be even more dangerous if Mayfield is more efficient.

Teams might not be able to stack the box against the Browns if they can move the ball through the air. Plus, Chubb just needs a little bit of daylight to bust a big run. He has two of the biggest gains of the last two years.

In any case, LT has high hopes for Chubb in 2020.
