The NFL's three-day trial regarding the Deshaun Watson case concluded last week. However, breaking information leaked Thursday that could impact the result of the case.

The NFL interviewed 12 women that accused Watson of sexual misconduct. Allegedly, the league also interviewed the adult son of one of the women. And, according to recent reports (originally released by CBS Sports' Josina Anderson), the man claimed that his mom was initially complimentary of her conversations with Deshaun Watson after his massage. However, she switched her account and tone after she heard the negative allegations against him.

Allegedly, the NFL kept mention of this interview brief, and details of it were released only after it was reviewed by Watson's side. According to Anderson, this could be why this woman was not one of the five that the NFL focused on during the hearing.

Attorney Tony Buzbee represents 24 women who have accused Deshaun Watson of sexual misconduct since March of 2021. Buzbee responded to the revelations, stating that none of his clients had a son questioned by the NFL.

Josina Anderson tweeted Buzbee's statement Friday afternoon.

“I have to evaluate and vet each case on its own merits. I won't take a case that I don't feel has merit or that I think I can't win. That's unfair to the client and to my hard-working team. As I've said before, over the course of this process, there were five or so calls that we received from women that we didn't feel that we could pursue,” Buzbee said.

Judge Sue L. Robinson will make the final decision on whether or not Deshaun Watson will be suspended from the NFL, and, if so, for how long.
