Cleveland Browns defensive tackle Malik McDowell was arrested in Florida on Monday after a naked altercation with police. McDowell's former high school coach, Reggie Wynn, spoke with McDowell after the arrest and gave a rather scary update on what happened.

Wynn told Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com that McDowell “doesn't remember nothing” from the incident. Wynn also said McDowell got “so emotional” over the arrest. Wynn wonders if the Browns player was drugged:

“I don't know if someone laced him or what,” Wynns said. “I don't know. That's not him at all. All I'm hoping is that when they test him, they figure out that he had been drugged.”

According to TMZ, McDowell went to the gym on Monday morning and then returned to his hotel, only to get naked and roam the streets. The Browns defensive tackle obviously drew the attention of police, but he fought back against them. McDowell was ultimately tasered and arrested.

McDowell started 14 games for the Browns this past season, and there weren't any issues with him. Wynn just wants to get to the bottom of what really happened:

“I'm hoping we find something out because what he did, that was not him at all,” Wynns said. “What he did is not normal for sure. Just think about it. How in the hell do you go from being a great citizen in Cleveland and then go down Monday and train and then [this happens].”

This was certainly a bizarre situation, so let's just hope everything gets resolved and that McDowell is okay.
