The Cleveland Browns received some good news on the Myles Garrett front.

Following an uncertain week and a tough game against the Las Vegas Raiders for the Browns defensive end, the Browns feared the worst for their Pro Bowl defender. Fortunately though for Garrett and the Browns, the results of Monday's MRI came back negative, at least primarily.

The Browns are fortunate that the injury occurred when it did with the bye week coming up. With the bye week, it gives Garrett an added week to heal his knee and be ready to go for Houston in two weeks.

Garrett had a tumultuous week, being limited all week in practice ahead of the showdown against Las Vegas. Even with the limited practice, presumably, to allow the knee to heal, he still struggled to move on it throughout the game. He was limping around throughout the first half, even being forced to go under the injury tent in the second quarter.

Due to his knee injury, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski limited Garrett to key downs in the second half. As a result of his limited playing time, Garrett finished a game without recording a sack for the first time since Week 1. Overall the Browns lost to the Raiders 16-6.

Garrett has returned to the field this season after missing the last couple of games of the 2019-2020 season due to a suspension stemming from his helmet attack on Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph. In spite of the suspension, the Browns gave Garrett a five-year, $125 million contract extension.
