There is a newfound sense of optimism surrounding the Cleveland Browns going into the 2018 NFL season. Defensive end Myles Garrett has made it clear that the first item on his list is taking down Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.

Garret has expressed his desire to sack Roethlisberger on multiple occasions ever since he was drafted. According to Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal, that has not changed ahead of the season opener:

“[I want to] sack him. I want to win,” Garrett said. “I want to take him down multiple times. But I also want to have some fun.”

Garrett has playfully mentioned Roethlisberger's name almost every chance he gets. He and the Browns went viral this offseason for their rendition of “The Office” which featured him dressed as the character Dwight Schrute shredding a picture o the Steelers' star. He will now finally get the chance to make it a reality in the season opener.

The former No. 1 overall pick missed out on both of his chances to do so in the 2017 NFL season. He was absent for their first matchup due to a high ankle sprain before Roethlisberger sat out of the season finale in preparation for the postseason.

It is safe to assume there is some merit to Garrett's comments. He is coming off a stellar rookie year after registering 31 tackles and 7.0 sacks in just 10 games. The Browns have high hopes for a potential bounce-back year this season. A win over the Steelers in the season opener would certainly make a statement.
