Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is all praises for his teammate Kareem Hunt.

Chubb told CantonRep.com's Steve Doerschuk on May 18 Hunt is “a high-spirited guy.” The former also predicted the Browns should exceed expectations running the ball this season with him, Hunt, and Duke Johnson in tow.

He's cool. He's a great guy. I'm enjoying having him as a teammate. Just as a person, he laughs and keeps you up. He's always a high-spirited guy.

It's gonna be fun. It's gonna be fun to play, fun to watch…not only me and Kareem, but other guys. If Duke makes it back, he can run the ball very well, as well as catching it.

We're all ready to run the ball here.

Based on Chubb's comments, it seems he and Hunt get along very well. He's right: the trio of Chubb, Hunt, and Johnson make a formidable running back trio for the Browns.

Hunt has been on the spotlight since the Browns signed him three months ago. Video surveillance footage released in November 2018 showed Hunt allegedly kicking a woman in an Ohio hotel in five months earlier. The Kansas City Chiefs released him a day after TMZ released the video.

For its part, the NFL suspended Hunt for the first eight games of the 2019 NFL season for violating its Personal Conduct Policy.

Despite the allegations against him, Hunt told Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot last week the last five months “definitely changed me a lot as a person.”

Hunt also told Browns general manager John Dorsey, “You can trust me,” per Cleveland.com. For her part, Cabot said Hunt seemed “very contrite and sincere” when she interviewed him.

Based on Chubb and Cabot's statements, it seems we're going to see a rejuvenated Kareem Hunt play for his hometown Cleveland Browns this season. It should be fun to watch.
