The Cleveland Browns are still looking to find a way to offload Baker Mayfield this offseason after bringing in Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans and signing him to a massive contract. Star running back Nick Chubb, who is a close friend of Mayfield, weighed in on the situation, insisting that the quarterback will be fine wherever he ends up, via Hayden Grove.

“He'll still always be one of my best friends. He's a great guy. I know with his intensity and his attitude, wherever he lands, he'll be ready.”

Chubb and Mayfield have been teammates since 2018, when the Browns selected the pair of them in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft. They've played together ever since, developing a close friendship during their time as teammates. However, the acquisition of Watson has all but put an end to Mayfield's time in Cleveland. With the Browns still actively seeking for a trade partner, it certainly seems the former No. 1 overall pick's days are numbered with the team.

Still, Chubb thinks Mayfield will succeed wherever he ends up, crediting the quarterback's attitude and intensity. Mayfield fought through multiple injuries last season to remain on the field and help the Browns compete. While the results didn't pan out as he had hoped, he did display a significant amount of toughness to keep fighting for his team.

It remains to be seen what team, if any, is going to roll the dice on Mayfield, but he received a pretty glowing recommendation from his longtime teammate and close companion ahead of the potential move.
