It's been a bumpy road for the Cleveland Browns this year. The offense has struggled at times and the team managed to earn an ugly win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday. Nick Chubb balled out but pointed out how Baker Mayfield's toughness is keeping the squad motivated.

According to Nate Ulrich, “Nick Chubb said Baker Mayfield battling injuries motivates us, he's banged up pretty bad.” The Browns quarterback has dealt with numerous injuries this season but is playing through the pain. Considering Cleveland is still in the middle of the playoff race, there is no reason to believe Mayfield misses any time right now.

Injuries are normal in the NFL. However, not everybody is capable of playing through painful injuries the way Mayfield has been. The Browns quarterback is showing off his toughness and his teammates are rallying behind him. Nick Chubb is the driving force of the offense and easily the best player on the roster. If he's got Baker Mayfield's back, then the rest of the locker room likely does too.

It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the regular season plays out. The AFC North is incredibly competitive and the Browns need all hands on deck if they hope to make the playoffs. With the wide receiver room lacking firepower, Cleveland should consider putting an even larger workload on their running backs.

Kareem Hunt is due back soon, which will alleviate Nick Chubb greatly. The Browns need their one-two punch out of the backfield, as Chubb and Hunt together give Cleveland their best chances to succeed.
