The Cleveland Browns are 4-2 since Gregg Williams took over as head coach, and get this: they are actually in playoff contention with two games left for them to play. The Browns in playoff contention? What type of sorcery is this?

Browns rookie running back Nick Chubb says that he and the rest of the team definitely sense the difference in the atmosphere since Williams replaced Hue Jackson, according to Sirius XM.

“I think just our energy has shifted into a better place,” said Chubb. “The guys are all buying in. We all we all love playing with each other. We love the people coaching us. I think everyone’s just bought into the new system and we’re playing hard for each other.”

Cleveland is coming off of a thrilling 17-16 win over the Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium on Saturday night in which Chubb rushed for 100 yards on 20 carries.

Chubb, who played his collegiate football at the University of Georgia, was selected by the Browns in the second round (35th pick overall) of the NFL Draft back in April.

He is enjoying a very impressive rookie campaign, rushing for 860 yards and eight touchdowns while averaging 5.2 yards per carry. In addition, he has hauled in 16 receptions for 150 yards and a couple of scores.

Cleveland now owns a record of 6-7-1 and will play host to the Cincinnati Bengals next weekend before concluding their regular season by visiting the Baltimore Ravens on Dec. 30.

The Browns have not made the postseason since the 2002-03 campaign and have not put together a winning season since 2007.
