Odell Beckham Jr. will forever be linked with the New York Giants. As official preparation for his first season playing for a new team finally begins, though, the three-time Pro Bowler is adamant he's done thinking about his old one. Why does Beckham so frequently mention the Giants, then? Because he's asked by reporters, of course.

“The only time I talk about it is when I get asked about it,” Beckham said of his thoughts on the Giants, per Dan Benton of Giants Wire. “It’s like a double-edged sword. I don’t want to talk about it. But if I get asked about it, I feel like I have to answer the question.

“I’m ready to put it all behind me. I think everybody has moved on. I’ve moved on. They’ve moved on. It’s just time. This is where I’m at. I’m a Cleveland Brown now. This is my team.”

Beckham was traded to the Cleveland Browns in March in exchange for safety Jabrill Peppers and first and third-round picks in the 2019 NFL Draft. Giants general manager Dave Gettleman had previously attempted to dispel rumors New York was trying to trade him, telling reporters in late February the team didn't sign Beckham to a $95 million contract extension last August only to trade him shortly thereafter.

Beckham had 77 catches for 1,052 yards and six touchdowns despite playing in just 12 games last season. Playing with franchise quarterback Baker Mayfield and a wealth of talented skill players like fellow All-Pro receiver Jarvis Landry, expect Beckham to put up even bigger numbers during his debut with the Browns.
