Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. made headlines after reportedly telling multiple teams to inquire for a trade. He has since made attempts to do some damage control.

The rumors indicated that Beckham made pleas to teams such as the Pittsburgh Steelers, San Francisco 49ers, and Seattle Seahawks. According to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, he insists he is staying in Cleveland:

Odell Beckham jokes he’s talked to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Toronto Argonauts about playing for them then adds: “I’m not going anywhere. I’ll be here (with the Browns). We’ll figure this thing out.”

Beckham's comments may be a nice sentiment for fans, however, it remains to be seen what the Browns plan on doing this offseason. While Beckham may be doing what he can to dispel any notion that he is seeking a trade elsewhere, it is safe to take anything going on in Cleveland with a grain of salt given what has transpired in the 2019 NFL season.

Beckham is in the midst of the worst statistical year of his career with 67 receptions for 910 yards and a mere two touchdowns. To make matters worse, fellow wideout Jarvis Landry also appears to be upset after reports indicated that he joined in on the act of bidding himself to other teams.

Regardless, Beckham's desire to stay is certainly understandable since playing for a third team in as many years is hardly an ideal situation for any player. There is no question that the Browns have some major adjustments to make this offseason. It will be interesting if the reports hold any weight.
