Cleveland Browns wide receiver Davion Davis has made a name for himself this preseason, but now he's facing a two-game suspension without pay because of a 2019 DUI. The Browns officially announced the suspension on Tuesday.

Despite this suspension, Davis is eligible to participate in the remainder of the preseason, which concludes for the Browns against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. The wideout is pushing to make the final roster and will get another opportunity to impress on the field this weekend. If he makes the final cut, he would then have to miss the first two games of the season due to this suspension.

Here are more details on the DUI that caused this suspension, courtesy of cleveland.com:

The suspension is related to a DUI from October 2019 when he was with the Vikings. He pled guilty to careless driving.

According to the StarTribune, Davis was stopped about 2:55 a.m. on Oct. 26 after a state trooper clocked him going 81 miles per hour in a 55 mph zone.

His blood alcohol content was measured at 0.13%, above the legal limit for driving in Minnesota, according to the report.

Davis signed with the Browns on July 31 after he was waived by the Vikings last year. He caught four passes for 56 yards and a score in Cleveland's preseason opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and he followed that up with three catches for 45 yards against the New York Giants in the second preseason game.

The Browns open up the regular season against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sept. 12.
