Rookie sensation Baker Mayfield truly believes and is determined to lead the turnaround for Cleveland Browns franchise.

Mayfield told NFL Network:

“People love the Browns and have stuck with them through some bad years. I'm going to do whatever I can to turn that around. I don't know what that feels like. I don't know what they went through. And I don't ever want to know what that feels like”

Mayfield is clearly committed to bringing excellence once and for all for this Browns franchise. They have suffered many years of disappointments. Failed draft picks, failed quarterbacks, and failing records have defined the Browns since their existence.

Baker Mayfield is a rookie out of Oklahoma who was drafted first overall in this year's draft. He hasn't been spectacularly good or horribly bad, rather his production is more like lukewarm. He's thrown for 2,877 yards on the season while scoring 29 touchdowns and giving up 10 interceptions. His completion percentage sits at 64.4 percent and his QBR is a 93.4 rating.

The Cleveland Browns are 5-7-1 on the season ranking third in the AFC South Division under head coaches Hue Jackson and then interim Gregg Willaims. Jackson was fired eight games into the season. The Browns score 22.5 points per game, which ranks 18th in the entire NFL. However, they give up 25.5 points per game, which ranks 25th in the NFL.

After Saturday evening's game against the Denver Broncos, the Browns will play the Cincinnati Bengals at home. The Bengals are 5-8, last in the AFC South Division. Neither team will likely be fighting for a playoff spot.
