Following a strong showing in his appearance leading the Cleveland Browns to their first win in 635 days, rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield has quickly become the buzz around the organization. This has led to plenty of excitement for what lies ahead of Mayfield with the Browns as their starting quarterback.

According to Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, wide receiver Rashard Higgins has chimed in on this praise stating that the 23-year-old has a chance to be the next big star in Cleveland. That status could earn him the spot on the wall on the Sherwin Williams building across from Quicken Loans Arena that LeBron James' iconic mural was for the last several years with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“I keep saying this is The Baker Era and stuff,” Higgins said Monday after Mayfield was named the starter. “If it pans out how it's supposed to be, Baker might be the next big thing. He might be on the LeBron wall, what I like to call it. I'm excited to see what he can bring to the team. Nothing but good things for him.”

This is a high level of expectations for Mayfield ahead of Mayfield given what he had shown in his brief time on the field with the team in Week 3. However, he did show plenty as he led the team to an impressive 14-point comeback over the New York Jets in the second half that saw him finish completing 17-of-21 passes for 201 yards in the 21-17 win.

Mayfield showed great poise and control of the offense on the field that saw him make some big throws that helped generate three scoring drives that resulted in touchdowns. There was another level of play and energy from the team with him leading the charge that was notably different from when Tyrod Taylor was on the field.

Although these are lofty expectations laid ahead of Mayfield, it's now in his hands to make the most of this opportunity to prove that he can be the franchise quarterback that the Browns have long been waiting to find.
