We may now have ourselves an Archie Manning-San Diego Chargers situation.

According to Ken Baskin of SI.com, the agents for Penn State product Saquon Barkley, Roc Nation, do not want their stud client to wind up in Cleveland with the Browns.

“His Roc Nation handlers, however, don’t want him to be taken No. 1,” Ben Baskin writes in SI. “They don’t want him in Cleveland. They want him to go second to the Giants and play in the media capital of the world. That’s where you can become the Face of the League. His manager even implored him to pull an Eli Manning and demand that the Browns not draft him. Barkley never considered the option.”

Barkley, 21, represents one of those rare talents at a devalued position. Rarely, will an NFL general manager look to draft a top 10 running back (no less a first-round leading horse), but Barkley's talents are such that the notion is impossible to navigate around.

In three years in Happy Valley, Barkley performed at an other-worldly level. He tallied 3,843 yards and 43 scores on the ground for a 5.7 average while going for 1,195 yards and eight touchdowns through the air on 102 total hauls. He even threw for one touchdown, an 18-yarder.

Whether it's the New York Giants, Jets, Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos or even the team in issue at the moment, the Cleveland Browns, Saquon Barkley will have the opportunity to call himself a top-10 NFL Draft pick by the time the night of April 26, 2018, has concluded.
