The Cleveland Browns currently own the first and fourth overall picks in the 2018 NFL Draft. Although it is seemingly a foregone conclusion that they will use their top pick on a potential franchise quarterback, little has been said about their options at the No. 4 spot.

It goes without saying that the Browns lack serious weapons on offense to surround their future quarterback with. According to ESPN's Jeff Legwold, Penn State running back Saquon Barkley would be more than happy to oblige:

“That's awesome, something bigger than you,” Barkley said. “You go to a team like that, obviously they've had some rough years, but I think they're a couple pieces away. They do have a lot of young talent, new offensive coordinator. … You want to be part of something like that, that's something bigger than yourself, that's something you leave a legacy of being part of something special.”

The Browns have been the worst team in football over the past two seasons which has culminated in a 1-31 record. Needless to say, being tasked with turning the struggling franchise around is no walk in the park. However, Barkley's comments speak volumes about his character and the type of player he is. Then again, it should come as no surprise coming from a school like Penn State that had been mired in NCAA sanctions over the past several years.

Although Barkley is not projected to go No. 1, he is considered by many to be the best overall player in the draft. This prediction essentially makes him the safest pick as well, which the Browns could certainly use at this point. Furthermore, the backfield situation is expected to be opening up with the rumored departure of running back Isaiah Crowell.
