The Cleveland Browns won't be heading to the postseason after all. The AFC North franchise fell short of just about every expectation that was initially bestowed upon them before the start of the 2019 season.

However, despite their struggles, there is a bright spot for the Dawg Pound, the emergence of second-year running back Nick Chubb.

With one week left to play in the 2019 regular season and the lowly Cincinnati Bengals remaining on the slate for Week 17, Chubb has a legitimate shot at leading the entire NFL in rushing yards when all is said and done this year. Leading the way heading into next weekend's clash against the Bengals, Chubb still has his eyes set on such a goal.

“I appreciate it, but it’s hard to appreciate it now because things haven’t gone as well as I wanted them to,” Chubb recently said of the Browns’ history involved in potentially capturing this year's rushing title, via the Akron Beacon Journal.

Entering the final week of the regular season, Chubb’s 1,453 rushing yards give him a solid 92-yard cushion ahead of the second-place rusher on such a list in Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey, who has tallied 1,361 yards on the ground in 2019.

“I haven’t looked, but people are encouraging me, telling me the numbers, things like that,” Chubb added. “I care because everyone cares.”

The Browns were once considered Super Bowl contenders and will ultimately only finish ahead of the one-win Bengals in the AFC North standings. Oh well, at least Chubb is around.
