As the football world tries to accept the fact that Odell Beckham Jr. is no longer with the New York Giants, more details about the trade to the Cleveland Browns have emerged.

We'd previously reported that Beckham was, allegedly, most interested in heading to the Dallas Cowboys. He was so interested in being a Cowboy, in fact, that when his trade to the Browns was announced, many members of the Cowboys team expressed their shock on Twitter.

We'd also previously reported that the Buffalo Bills had expressed an interest in Beckham, as well.

Now, however, a new rumor suggests that Beckham was most interested in a deal with the Browns, most of all.

According to USA Today, one of the main reasons he was interested in the Browns trade was because he was excited about the lineup. With a chance to reunite with Jarvis Landry, the Browns were able to make Beckham an offer that he simply could not refuse.

And the Browns could certainly benefit from Beckham and his presence, too.

From USA Today:

“Brown ran out of time, as did former coach Hue Jackson, with a 1-31 record to show for the 2016 and 2017 seasons. But in passing on Carson Wentz and Deshaun Watson as franchise quarterbacks, he worked a plan to build for the future. To land Beckham, for instance, Dorsey dealt first- and third-round picks along with safety Jabrill Peppers, who can be traced to a first-round pick in 2017 that the Browns got from Houston. If it’s January and the Browns are in the playoffs, the “offseason crown” was only the beginning.”
