After making waves throughout the 2019 NFL offseason, the Cleveland Browns may very well be on their way to doing the same thing in 2020. Per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, the Browns are reportedly working on a trade for Minnesota Vikings star safety Anthony Harris.

However, the asking price for Harris may be too high for the Browns, as the Vikings reportedly want at least a third-round or preferably a second-round pick. Minnesota hit Harris with a franchise tag worth $11.44 million on Monday, which might also be too much for Cleveland financially.

Last season for Minnesota, Harris enjoyed a breakout year when he recorded 60 tackles, 11 passes defended and a league-high six interceptions. Harris' strong play helped the Vikings surrender just 18.9 points per game, which was the fifth-best mark in the league.

The 6-foot-1 safety will be 29 years old by the time next season starts, but Harris would certainly be a great fit for the Browns.

In 2019, the Browns relied on safeties Damarious Randall, Jermaine Whitehead (no longer with the team), Sheldrick Redwine and Morgan Burnett.

With the team's top safety in Randall being a free agent this season, the Browns could be in trouble next campaign if he signs somewhere else and fail to trade for Anthony Harris.

Statistically, the Browns allowed the seventh-fewest passing yards per game in the NFL, but they were also in the bottom half of the league in passing touchdowns allowed and ranked 20th in the league in points allowed per game with 24.6.
