Baker Mayfield had a less-than-ideal start to Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he finished strong for the Cleveland Browns.

With time winding down, Mayfield's fifth touchdown pass gave the Browns the win over the Bengals:

With 16 seconds remaining in the game, the Browns would only have a couple of shots to the end zone before settling for a field goal. Instead of staying conservative, Mayfield made a perfect pass to rookie Donovan Peoples-Jones to give them the win.

Early in the game, Mayfield began with zero completions on his first five attempts with an interception. However, he completed 22 of his next 23 attempts for 297 yards and five touchdowns for the Browns. In fact, Mayfield completed a franchise-record 21 passes in a row at one point before an intentional spike broke that streak.

Mayfield has received a ton of criticism for his regression in recent seasons, but maybe Sunday's performance can give him a boost in the right direction. The former No. 1 overall pick will look to continue his success in Week 8 versus the Las Vegas Raiders.

The Browns are 5-2 on the season.
