Nick Chubb took over as the starting running back for the Cleveland Browns a couple weeks back when the franchise decided to trade Carlos Hyde to the Jacksonville Jaguars. It was a move that has paid off in a big way over the past couple weeks, especially this afternoon against the Atlanta Falcons.

Not only did Chubb have a big game against the Falcons, he also broke a Browns' franchise record. Chubb scored a 92-yard touchdown run, which broke the record for longest run in franchise history.

The NFL official Twitter account has you covered so you can see the play for yourself.

Needless to say, the Browns' rookies are the real deal. Baker Mayfield and Chubb are going to be really good for a long time. Cleveland is finally headed in the right direction after years of poor play.

Chubb ended up carrying the football 20 times for 176 yards and a touchdown. He also caught three passes for 33 yards and a touchdown against Atlanta. Cleveland needed to find a true workhorse running back and it is obvious that they have one.

Mayfield, on the other hand, completed 17 of his 20 pass attempts for 216 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. He also ran for 20 yards in the game.

Following the win over the Falcons, the Browns are 3-6-1 on the season. The record may not be great, but it is much better than the zero wins they had last season. Cleveland isn't a contender, but in a few years they very well could be if they continue building the way they have been.

Gregg Williams and the Browns' coaching staff has to be excited about what they saw this afternoon. Hopefully, Cleveland can use this as a momentum boost and win at least a few more games the rest of the way.
