After backing out of a deal with the Cleveland Browns, Breshad Perriman has announced that he's signing a deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to ESPN, part of the reason Perriman backed out of the deal with the Browns had to do with the Odell Beckham Jr. trade from the Giants to the Browns, which — as we reported on yesterday — shocked the entire NFL.

There was also some suggestion, as we reported yesterday, that Perriman wanted to back out of the deal once the OBJ deal became official.

The good news for Breshad Perriman, however, is that this little move has netted him a cool $4 million for one year worth of work.

For what it's worth, ESPN is saying that this is a good investment on the part of the Browns.

From ESPN:

“Perriman was on the street when the Browns signed him on Oct. 13 last year following the trade of Josh Gordon to the New England Patriots. Expectations were low. Perriman, 25, was the No. 26 overall pick in the 2015 draft by the Baltimore Ravens, but he was released in September after training camp. He briefly signed with Washington, but again was released amid his reputation for dropping passes.”

It looks like Breshad Perriman will be given this year with the Bucs to prove himself as a player. And with Bruce Arians as a coach — especially given Arians' propensity to really guide players to do the best they can — we're sure that Perriman can really pull through and show what type of player he is.
