One of Bruce Arians' first orders of business as new Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach will be addressing the offensive line, according to Greg Auman of The Athletic.

“I think offensive line, looking outside in, is an area we need to work on,” said Arians. “Some guys that have talent need to get better and more consistent.”

The Buccaneers' offensive line allowed 41 sacks this past season.

Arians is returning to the NFL after a one-year hiatus after resigning from his post as Arizona Cardinals head coach in 2017.

The 66-year-old got his first NFL head-coaching job in 2012, when he took over for Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano, who stepped away from the game for cancer treatments. Arians went 9-3 over his 12 games as head coach that season and ended up winning Coach of the Year. However, due to the fact that Arians was serving in an interim role, those wins and losses did not officially count toward his overall record.

Arians then landed a job as Cardinals head coach in 2013, going 10-6 and narrowly missing the playoffs during his first year with the team. He then led Arizona to back-to-back playoff appearances in 2014 and 2015, including a 13-win campaign that resulted in a trip to the NFC Championship Game during the latter season.

However, Arians then went just 7-8-1 in 2016, and in 2017, he went 8-8 and resigned as the Cardinals' coach.

Overall, Arians owns an official coaching record of 49-30-1.

The Buccaneers are coming off of a season in which they went 5-11, ending in the dismissal of three-year head coach Dirk Koetter.
