A consensus brewing around the league is that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won't be bringing Jameis Winston back after the 2019 season. Bucs head coach Bruce Arians isn't dropping any hints.

When asked whether or not Winston will be the starting quarterback after 2019, Arians offered a coy response:

“I'm gonna pass on that one,” said Arians, according to Jenna Laine of ESPN.com. “I'm gonna wait until the end of December.”

Laine added that sources are saying the Buccaneers are undecided on Winston's future.

Through 12 games om 2-10. Winston has thrown for 3,659 yards, 22 touchdowns and an NFL-high 20 interceptions while completing 60.2 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 82.7.

Arians has supported Winston for much of the year, but he has also made it a point to say that Winston needs to do a better job of taking care of the football.

“There's been really, really, really good and there's been some really, really bad,” Arians said. “I'm gonna pass until it's over and then we'll make a decision.”

Winston, who played his collegiate football at Florida State, was originally selected by Tampa Bay with the No. 1 overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft.

He enjoyed a couple of promising seasons to start his career, making the Pro Bowl during his rookie campaign. Since then, injuries and poor performance overall have derailed Winston's tenure with the Bucs.

Of course, the Buccaneers were in trouble long before Winston arrived, as they have not made the playoffs since the 2007-08 season.

Tampa Bay is 5-7 on the year and will take on the 6-6 Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
