The Tampa Bay Buccaneers notably brought in former Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians this offseason while the longtime NFL coach has already shaken things up in the NFC South division. With the Buccaneers previously electing to part ways with veteran defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, Tampa Bay then wasted absolutely no time in signing another seasoned defensive lineman in Ndamukong Suh.

As a result of bringing Suh on board, Arians is already anticipating big things from the former Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, and Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle.

“I hope I still see that look in his eye,” Arians recently told Greg Auman of The Athletic. “I want to see that look in his eye, when he got those penalties. I want to see him play that way and want everybody around him to play that way.”

The Buccaneers have struggled mightily as of late while the hope is that Arians can help the NFC South franchise turn things around in a hurry. While the NFC South remains one of the tougher divisions in all of football, the Buccaneers are not yet expected to compete with the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons or Carolina Panthers.

However, Arians could begin to lead the Buccaneers in the right direction while adding Suh was definitely a start — at least on the defensive side of the football. Suh signed a one-year free-agent contract with the Buccaneers after staying in Los Angeles as a member of the Rams for only the 2018-19 campaign, one that resulted in an NFC Championship.
