Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady has wowed many with his ability to consistently perform at a high level for so long. At 44 years young, Brady is somehow older than even the head coaches of the team's he's squaring up against. As such, it's reasonable to expect questions about his plans to one day hang up the cleats. Buccaneers offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich was asked if he would be surprised if Brady retired after the season. Leftwich kept it real with his answer via Buccaneers reporter Rick Stroud.

Buccaneers OC Byron Leftwich understandably didn't want to give a definitive answer here on the Tom Brady retire question. However, reading between the lines, the answer is yes, Leftwich would be surprised if Brady retired at the end of the year.

The Buccaneers star just threw for the most yards that he ever has in a single NFL season. Brady set the NFL record for the most completions in a season ever. Oh. and he fired 40-plus touchdowns for a second straight year, the first time he's ever done that in consecutive seasons in his career, too.

It would be quite surprising if Brady retired after the season, especially if he and Leftwich lead the Buccaneers to their second straight Super Bowl victory.

With Tom Brady playing at such a high level right now, it wouldn't be surprising to see him back with the Buccaneers next year.
