Tampa Bay Buccaneers third-year wide receiver Chris Godwin is active against the Los Angeles Rams for the two team's Week 4 matchup on Sunday, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

The 1-2 Buccaneers are coming off a home loss to Daniel Jones and the New York Giants last week and play the dangerous but struggling Rams club on the west coast.

The 23-year-old Godwin, a third-round selection in the 2017 NFL Draft by Tampa, was listed as questionable earlier in the week as the wideout deals with a hip injury. Entering today, Godwin was a game-time decision but earlier this afternoon was upgraded to “expected” to play. Now the 6-foot-1 receiver will be active in a must-win game for the Bucs on the road.

Godwin is a dynamic offensive option for fifth-year quarterback Jameis Winston. Godwin recorded 214 receiving yards with 14 receptions and two touchdowns in Tampa Bay's first three games. Appearing in every game for the Bucs last season, Godwin tallied nearly 60 receptions for 842 yards, scoring seven touchdowns.

Godwin forms a rising duo alongside star receiver Mike Evans, Winston's go-to passing option in the two's young careers. In the Bucs' one-point loss to rookie Jones and the Giants last week, Evans recorded three receiving touchdowns, pouring salt in the wounds of the close defeat.

The Buccaneers' schedule does not get any easier, with next week facing the New Orleans Saints, who in spite of Drew Brees' injury remain a formidable squad.
