Tom Brady chose to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason, leading many to believe the Buccaneers will be a contender in the NFC. As he prepares for his second year in the NFL, Devin White believes the arrival of Brady will elevate the defense's play in 2020.

Per Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times, White said,

“We’re not going to want him to pick us apart every day in training camp … We’re going to get better with our disguises, and we’re going to try to confuse him a little. Going against him in practices will really bring our game out to a new level.”

Last offseason, Tampa Bay selected White with the No. 5 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, White was phenomenal, notching 91 tackles, three forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries and an interception.

Under new defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, the Buccaneers finished with the No. 1 run defense in the NFL in 2019. At the same time, Tampa Bay could use some work against the pass, having the No. 30 ranked pass defense a season ago.

Luckily for White and the defense, facing Brady in practice could help the defense improve in certain areas. There aren't many times that a team gets an opportunity to face the greatest quarterback of all time in practice.
