The Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn't hesitate to bring in Rob Gronkowski to reunite him with Tom Brady. Now the Buccaneers are reuniting Bruce Arians with one of his former offensive linemen. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Tampa Bay is signing former Cardinals center AQ Shipley, pending a physical.

Before reaching an agreement with the Buccaneers, AQ Shipley spent the past five seasons with the Arizona Cardinals. He also spent time with the Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Ravens earlier in his career.

Of course, prior to accepting the head coaching job in Tampa Bay, Arians was last a head coach of the Cardinals. From 2013-2017, Arians coached Arizona, leading them to a combined record of 49-30-1 in that span. Therefore, seeing that he coached AQ Shipley for three seasons, he's aware of what he brings to an offensive line.

Entering the 2020 season, the Buccaneers currently have Ryan Jensen as their starting center. Provided that, AQ Shipley is likely being brought in by Arians to be a depth option for Tampa Bay's offensive line.

With Brady under center, having continuity at the center position is crucial for the Buccaneers. Jensen, who is entering his third year in Tampa Bay, shared what it has been like working with Brady so far this offseason.

In the past four seasons, AQ Shipley has started in all 16 games at center in three of them. The only season he wasn't able to start the entire year was in 2018 when he suffered a torn ACL before the season began. Despite the fact he likely won't start, Shipley should add some experience to a new-look Buccaneers offensive front.
