Though the NFL will not return until Thursday, August 13 – when the first preseason game takes place on NFL Network – that doesn’t mean that legendary quarterback Tom Brady has not stopped working with his new teammates on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to reporting from Chris Cwik of Yahoo Sports, Brady has been running through full plays with his offensive pals, according to Tampa Bay running back Dare Ogunbowale:

“The way (Brady) runs our workouts is like a practice. Instead of just telling us run a dig or something like that, he’s telling us the full play call. He’s doing his cadence as if we were in a game. He’s making adjustments, doing the hots and sights. With a guy like him, it’s really easy.”

Certainly, Brady’s work ethic is the stuff of fable, as he would have to work hard in order to be as successful as he has remained – even at age 42.

Along with Brady, the Buccaneers also acquired Rob Gronkowski – a favorite target of Tom Terrific, so there should already be some continuity right off the bat. That doesn’t mean that Brady will be working with just random scrubs, however.

To the contrary, the Bucs actually had the No. 3 offense in the league last season per Pro Football Reference and they produced 33 passing touchdowns as a team – which ranked third overall behind only the Ravens (37) and Saints (36).

Of course, former Bucs QB Jameis Winston also led the league in interceptions with a whopping 30 giveaways. Brady’s steadier presence will likely see that number dip precipitously – especially knowing that he is already practicing hard with his teammates.
