The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to take on the Houston Texans this week. While they are no longer a team capable of making a run at the playoffs, there is still plenty for them to play for. First and foremost, the Buccaneers are trying to figure out which players will and won't be a part of their future.

Jameis Winston is a name that must step up over the final two weeks if he wants any chance of returning as the team's starting quarterback. There have been times this season when he has put up monstrous numbers, but there have also been times where he has been one of the worst quarterbacks in the league.

According to a report from Pro Football Talk, Winston has been listed questionable for this week after going through a full practice. He is dealing with right thumb and knee injuries.

On the season, Winston has completed 61.7 percent of his pass attempts for 4,573 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 24 interceptions. He has also chipped in with 229 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Those numbers show just how much of a roller coaster season this has been.

At 25 years old, the former No. 1 overall pick may be coming to an end with the Buccaneers. He would likely find another team willing to give him a chance, but Tampa Bay cannot afford to waste much more time trying to give him chance after chance to figure things out.

All of that being said, Winston seems fairly likely to play this week. If he can string together a couple more good performances to close out the season, there is a chance that he could be brought back next year.
