The Houston Texans are glad Jameis Winston is no stranger to interceptions. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' quarterback leads the NFL in picks with 28. Since entering the league in 2015 as the No. 1 overall pick, he has thrown 122, the most in that five-season span.

On Saturday, Winston delivered his 24th career multiple interception performance in a 23-20 loss to the Houston Texans. On his first attempt of the day, he threw a pick-six to cornerback Bradley Roby, who undercut the route. He wound up throwing four interceptions.

Though the Bucs caught up, even tying it at 17 going into halftime, Winston admitted that he should not had performed as he did. Tampa Bay won't win consistently if he does.

We're always going to persevere. That's just those guys in the locker room. They're resilient. They're going to continue to play no matter what,” Winston told Tampa Bay media after the loss. “But I can't do that. I can't do it. I can't do it. You can't win that way. Consistently.”

Winston can get the Buccaneers offense rolling — that's not a question. Entering the loss to Houston, he led the NFL in passing yards (4,573) and ranked second in touchdowns (30). But, all too often, he can act as their catalyst to failure. His turnover issues aren't new. Since his Florida State days, he's been an especially turnover-prone passer.

Next week, Winston could be playing his last game as a member of the Buccaneers. Though their No. 1 pick in 2015 and a Pro Bowler as a rookie, Tampa Bay has yet to give him a contract extension. Considering his penchant for picks, they may opt to not do so at all in the offseason.
