Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Jameis Winston has undergone LASIK surgery to repair his vision, according to Rick Stroud of The Tampa Bay Times.

Could Winston's poor eyesight have had something to do with the 30 interceptions he threw in 2019? Bad vision is not something new for Winston.

He has been near-sighted dating back to his time at Florida State, and at the conclusion of this past season, Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said that Winston “can't see the scoreboard but he can see the guys in front of him, so he's alright.”

But perhaps he wasn't?

Obviously, Winston's penchant for turning the ball over can't solely be pinned on his questionable vision, but it is entirely possible that it has played a role.

Whether or not the 26-year-old will even be back in Tampa Bay next season is anybody's guess.

Winston, who hits free agency next month, is coming off of season in which he led the NFL with 5,109 passing yards to go along with 33 touchdowns, making him the first player in league history to throw 30 touchdowns and 30 picks in the same year.

He also completed 60.7 percent of his passes and posted a passer rating of 84.3.

Jameis Winston was originally selected by the Bucs with the first overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft and has been quite a disappointment ever since.

He was decent over his first couple of seasons, but since 2016, Winston has struggled mightily, and now, many are suggesting that the Buccaneers move on from Winston this offseason.

Tampa Bay has not made the playoffs since the 2007-08 campaign.
