The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of three teams interested in free-agent offensive lineman Jason Peters, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network. The Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Chargers represent the other intrigued parties.

Peters has spent the last 11 years of his NFL career with the Philadelphia Eagles and is coming off of a 2019 campaign in which he made 13 starts at left tackle.

The 38-year-old, who played his collegiate football as a tight end at the University of Arkansas, went undrafted in 2004 but signed with the Buffalo Bills as a free agent.

It didn't take long for the Bills to discover that Peters was probably better suited as an offensive lineman.

In his second season, Peters started 10 games, and by 2006, he was Buffalo's full-time left tackle and an emerging star. He made his first Pro Bowl appearance in 2007 and earned another Pro Bowl selection in 2008 before being traded to the Eagles in April 2009.

Peters continued his stretch of dominance in Philadelphia, making three more Pro Bowl appearances between 2009 and 2011, including a First-Team All-Pro selection in the latter year.

The Queen City, Texas native then ruptured his Achilles in March 2012, causing him to miss that ensuing season. However, he resumed his Pro Bowl ways in 2013, also notching another First-Team All-Pro selection. Peters proceeded to make four straight trips to the Pro Bowl between 2013 and 2016.

Injuries struck Peters again in 2017, with the big tackle sustaining ACL and MCL tears in his right knee after seven games. Since then, he hasn't been the same, but he still represents a solid veteran presence for a team in need of offensive line help.
