Newly-acquired edge pass rusher Jason Pierre-Paul isn't making any new friends at his new job.

According to Jenna Laine of ESPN, the former New York Giants defensive end hasn't attended a single day of Tampa Bay Buccaneers OTAs. Bucs head coach Dirk Koetter is, thus far, playing it cool.

“We’d love to have everybody here. That’s a perfect world, and we don’t live in a perfect world, unfortunately,” said Koetter.

Pierre-Paul, 29, represents the Bucs prized offseason acquisition. As a terror off the edge, he's one of a many-part defensive line that looks terrific on paper.

In 2017, he tallied 8.5 sacks to go along with 48 tackles. Over the course of his eight-year NFL career, his sack number stands at 58.5 through a total of 111 games. It's a skill-set that's extremely valuable in a league that's rapidly favoring a four-man conventional pass rush.

Pierre-Paul is a two-time Pro Bowler and one-time First-Team All-Pro member (2011).

The Bucs also added Vinny Curry from Philadelphia and drafted Vita Vea in the first round. Curry will be lining up opposite of JPP along the edge while Vea will team with All-Pro Gerald McCoy on the interior. The four pieces make for one dangerous group of NFL paper.

Raking in a total of $12.5M this season, expect Jason Pierre-Paul to attend mandatory minicamp.
