After the recent retirement of Rob Gronkowski, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were in search of a new tight end. They have found their guy in Kyle Rudolph

After signing Kyle Rudolph, the Buccaneers will now have one of the better tight-end rooms in the NFL. Rudolph will be joining veteran Cameron Brate, and University of Washington rookie Cade Otton.

Kyle Rudolph will be entering his 12th season in the NFL. He has become one of the game's best pass-catching tight ends. The two-time Pro Bowler is also a consistent red zone threat.

Throughout his first 10 seasons in the NFL, he was a member of the Minnesota Vikings. During his time with the Vikings, he appeared in 140 games. He recorded 453 receptions, 4,488 receiving yards, and 48 touchdowns on 665 total targets. He averaged 9.9 yards per reception.

Rudolph spent the 2021 season with the New York Giants. In his lone season as a member of the Giants, Rudolph did not produce as well as he had in the past.

Much like the rest of the Giant's offense, Kyle Rudolph failed to produce at a high level. In 16 total appearances, he recorded 26 receptions, 257 receiving yards, and one touchdown. He was targeted just 39 times.

Playing in an offense full of receiving talent should also give Rudolph a chance to perform. He will benefit from lining up next to Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

Rudolph will also be joining a Tampa Bay Buccaneers offense that is led by Tom Brady. Brady, who has often relied heavily on his tight ends, could bring Rudolph back to form.
